New 2.3 Cosworth Ford Duratec powered CSR Race car.

Note carbon 'winglets' on the side of the CSR's nose cone. Expect these to be next years 'must have' accessory! Help to reduce lift at the front, I guess - maybe direct air over the suspension slightly?

Here you can see the same winglets being fitted to the new Aftersales Courtesy car.

Wide selection of cars and specs dotted around the factory...

...including this slightly older original Lotus. Not sure the pink nose cone in the cockpit is from this car!

CSR race car, with aluminium cockpit cover over the passenger side, and evidence of an aluminium boot cover as well.

Engine out CSR - note in-board front suspension.

Mark has a quick look at the CRB (Clucth Release Bearing) on the hydraulic clutch.

New and old - new CSR front wing on the left, 'old' style carbon wing on the right.

Caterham's R500 EVO car.

Caterham 21 being serviced side by side with Caterham 7's.

New Caterham 7 for those who think the original is too big, let alone the SV!

Simon gets laughed out of the factory as he drives this Japanese electric powered commuter vehicle!

Well - we had to have a go - more pictures and thoughts can be found in separate section here.

Full-speed, wind-in-the-hair test drive!

Another CSR is being used for noise testing. This rig is used to try out different ideas. You can see the 'quick remove' side panel that allows different side skin cut-outs to be used.

Looks like there is also work being carried out on the air box design (black box just in front of the scuttle in this picture) Although the CSR was officially 'launched' a few months ago, development is still on-going. This is no different from much bigger car manufacturers, who may launch the car to the public many months before it is actually available to buy.

Looking back down the factory from the far end.

Good idea to avoid the 'stepping backwards onto the bonnet' incidents!

Another car kit ready to join its' new owner!

Many thanks to Simon for giving us a quick impromptu tour, and letting us try the new Japanese model!
