Tessa, Michael and Tam outside the restaurant where we later enjoyed a massive New Years meal, just outside the walled town of Montreuil.

First drink at the B&B. Champagne very kindly donated by Monsier Trunnet. Taxi due in 10 minutes!

Similar pose, but about 3 hours later, judging by the fact we all have flush cheeks. Food was great - about 8 courses. Midnight passed before the main arrived, and when we left by pre-ordered taxi at 3am, we were the first to leave!

On waking up on New Years Day we were greeted by snow! The B&B has huge dry barns suitable for storage of 7's at night.

This of course meant an opportunity for 'playing' in the snow with the cars, and more piccies. Snow was pretty slushy though...

Singing  in the snow, with 3 Caterham umbrella's of course!

No, I have not just skidded off the road and into the tree!

Mike and I took the doors off so we could have better visibility whilst sliding along the deserted roads 'playing'. Both Tessa and Tam soon 'advised us' this was not a good idea as they got sprayed with slushy mud - oops!

Tessa about to fall out of the car

An afternoon walk on New Years Day. I insisted there was a bridge back over the river 'just round the corner'.

There was not of course - but a good 8 mile walk did us all some good after the night before!

So much so we still managed to eat out the evening of the 1st, this time in Montreuil itself.

En route to Calais - the Bologne-Calais coast road is a great drive - long sweeping road with good overtaking, but never crowded. this is Cap Blanc Nez, over looking the bay of Calais, and Dover on a clear day.

Note the road top right we had just come along. Great hill-climb section leads up to where we are parked.

On board the SeaFrance ferry.

Misty but calm crossing back to a damp UK.

Home again - I took this as I locked the car away the day we got back, in the evening. Once again our car had performed perfectly. Tell me you don't all say goodnight to the car after trips like this one!
