GUESTBOOK

Few more pictures taken on our most recent trip to the circuit at Crois. Some of the pictures were taken by Mark and Cathy who came with us for a weekend trip to France. They are expecting delivery of their SV R300 very soon.

M25 - on the way!

Kicking tires in the paddock.

On track - very busy as you can see!

Sessions are with the 'single seaters' - this shows the variety of cars.

John Bird's very quick Blackbird engined car. We have met John a few times at Crois - this trip he was very kind enough to let me try some old slicks of his.

By the end of the main straight, I had him.

Tin top sessions are equally varied - here we see two Beetles and a Pug!

Beautifully prepared Modus classic Formula Renault car we have been on track with a few times.

Slicks on our car. I quite liked the look of these 13' wheels. Made the car look like a little street fighter - well, sort of!

The slicks we tried from John were certainly past their best (hence the loan!) but it was great to try them. I had no idea what they would be like, having heard all sorts of tales about car set up and twitchy performance on cold tires.

But they were great! Turn-in was certainly improved on the twisty bits, and the surprise was that whilst the car still slid when provoked, it was much more progressive (fun!) than on the 48's. Thanks for the opportunity John.

Grrrr!

Our little Caterham corner of the paddock.

We managed to wear out John's old slicks! This chunk was the cause of a vibration I felt onthe car in the last session of the day. I thought I had broken something!

Tessa in the paddock.

Back at our favourite B&B nearby, and more of the hosts family try out our car for size.

Homeward bound...
